10 MINUTE ROPE KNOT NAPKIN RINGS
I have such an easy, fun and useful 10-minute decorating idea for you today! And did I mention oh, so attractive too? This project was free to make because I had the one item to make it lying around the house. And I bet you might too! Today, let’s make 10-minute Rope Knot napkin rings!
Today is 10 MINUTE DECORATING! Make sure to stop by the creative blogs at the end of this post and see what they are sharing!
These cute napkin rings would be perfect for any time of the year. Wouldn’t these work for a rustic Christmas table with a spring of holly or rosemary tucked into it? Or bittersweet for Fall?
MATERIALS:
- twine or rope
- empty toilet paper roll
- hot glue
PROCEDURE:
Tie a length of rope around the toilet roll in a square knot. Cut off the excess rope on the ends. See image below.
Put a dot of hot glue on the back of the knot to keep it together.
I store my napkin rings in a shoe size clear box. Don’t you love an organizing idea!

I always love your ideas. Now I am thinking I need to use a bit of jute or rope to tie together the utensils for my niece’s shower! Have a blessed day.

That’s the cutest finishing touch! Love it!
Love this – so simple but cute.
Cute AND simple. You gotta love that. Thanks.
Love ❤️ Going to make these for my BBQ this weekend!! Thank you ?
Such a cute idea…this would of been perfect for the 4th of July! However, I purchased some galvanized napkins rings at Dillard’s, which were a nice touch by Southern Living and they were very inexpensive. I’ll keep this idea for another time.
On a different note, Yvonne I’d like you to consider branching out the table and holiday decor for kids, especially since you’re a grandmother now. You’ll need to possibly consider decorating a table for the young. An example could be Halloween…I love decorating for Fall and especially for Halloween. While trying to plan ahead in my mind, I automatically thought of your tutorial for stars, which serves as a great decoration for being patriotic. Then, I thought…a person could make these for Halloween by painting the burlap orange. The eyes could be made out of the checked gingham material, while adding rick rack or glitter. I recall Pottery Barn having this idea previously also! You’re so talented, you’d be able to pull it off in your easy peasy style without any problem!
So cute and simple.
What a great idea! And I love that they are reusable!
